Things to Do

Here are a few of our favorite things to do:

Browse Artisan Square, a collection of shops and services serves as a miniature satellite version of Snug Cove village. Popular spots include Artisan Eats, a gourmet deli and baker and popular lunch spot; The Gym on Bowen; and Cocoa West Chocolatier. There is also an art gallery and a few other things.

Chill Bowen is ringed with interesting—and often deserted—beaches. Please ask us for directions to September Morn or Cates Bay. Pick up gourmet fixings for lunch at either Artisan Eats or the Ruddy Potato.

Indulge Enjoy a treatment at Stillwaters Massage (please ask us about a special discount); drop in on a yoga class at Bowen Yoga.

Cocoon Pick up a new book at The Phoenix, and a pair it with something appropriate from the Bowen Beer and Wine Store, at the crossroads.

Run, Hike, Paddle Try the Killarney Lake Loop, or explore any of the other leafy trails in Crippen Regional Park; we will also provide you with a map to access this trail system; ambitious and fit guests might like to try tackling Mount Gardner, an exhilarating hike with a reward of panoramic views–allow a full day. Kayak rentals and instruction are available from Bowen Island Sea Kayaking, located next to the ferry dock in Snug Cove. If you’re looking for someone to show you around or take you up the mountain, try Bowen Tours.

Eat We recommend Artisan Eats for brunch, lunch, and picnic fixings; Blue Eyed Mary’s or Tuscany (reservations recommended) or the more casual Mik-sa for dinner; for island-roasted coffee and casual treats, try the Happy Isle.
